Our History – 1997

The town bestowed its highest honour of Citizen of the Year on Cathie Kyle in 1997. The popular local singer and entertainer was well-known for her work entertaining locals over many decades and for the charity work she undertook with her husband, who also won the coveted Rosebowl as Citizen of the Year in 1984!
