COWDENBEATH STAY AT HOME HOLIDAYS

BABY SHOW AND DANCING COMPETITION PRIZE WINNERS

Good entertainment was provided at the Cowdenbeath Stay-At-Home holidays last week.  The programme was arranged by Mr.John.Hilliard, convener and a sub-committee of the Cowdenbeath Provost’s Fund Committee, and the profits go to the Committee’s Old Folk’s Treat Fund.

Two of the principal competitive events during the week were the Baby show and dancing competition at which the prize winners were: – Baby Show, 1 to 6 months – 1.Margaret Fraser, 2, Jane Anderson, 3. Tom Brown.

6 months to a year – 1. Thos,Burns, 2. A.Campbell, 3. Ernest Wotherspoon.

1 – 2 years -1. Margaret Wilkes, 2. Allan Woodhouse, 3. John Barker.

Dancing; Under 12 yrs – Highland Fling – 1. Helen.Adamson, Methil, 2. Lizzie Smart, East Wemyss, 3. Mary Murray, Buckhaven.

Shean Truais; -1. Helen Adamson, 2. Chrissie Duff, Methilhill, 3. M.Cooper, East Wemyss.

Irish Jig; 1. H.Adamson, 2. Chrissie Duff, 3. L.Smart.

Under 16 years Highland Fling;- 1. Betty Balfour, Kirkcaldy, 2. J.Coull, Methil, 3. J.Russell, Buckhaven.

Shean Trubais – 1. Betty Balfour, 2. J.Russell, 3. Vera Kellock, Kirkcaldy.

Sword Dance – 1. J.Russell, 2. J.Coull, 3. J.Troup, Methil.

Irish Jig – 1. Betty Balfour and J.Russell (equal) 3. J.Coull.
